Default Lexapro withdrawal/side effects

I have been taking Lexapro for a couple of years, 20mg once daily. I am attempting to wean myself off of the drug. Cut dose in half for several weeks and now have stopped taking it all together. I am experiencing very strange physical reaction. It feels a little like light headed but more intense. Otherwise I am not depressed or anything like that just a very strange feeling. Is this normal? How long should I expect to feel side effects? Thanks

Default my personal experience...

I'm no expert by far, but my personal experience w/Lexapro withdrawal (SSRIs as a class) has not good short term--2-3 weeks, but it appears there is a light at the end of this tunnel. Lots of rotten physical stuff; and when all I wanted to do was "go away"...I could not sleep.

However, the light, is that every morning I feel more normal. And as every day goes by, it seems that my emotional state becomes less "stunted" and more real.

Google...lexapro withdrawal...lots of info. Good luck! Don't give up!
