Default Lexapro - Side Effects

Has anyone experienced ringing in your ears after starting Lexapro? If so, how long did it take to go away? Another side effect I'm having is red eyes. Anyone have a problem with that side effect?

Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
CJ

Didn't experience the ringing, but did get an upset stomach if I didn't take it with food.

I am taking Lexapro and having dry eyes, ringing in the ears, plus back-to-back colds and viruses. I, too, was wondering if the drug contributed to these symptoms.

How long does it take for sexual desire/function to return after stopping lexapro??? I have never in my life been so sexually dead, even when I was celibate!!! I mean when I was celibate I chose not to have sex but I still had desire. My husband has been patient, but he is tired of "making sex" and not "making love".

stop taking it at once . was only on it for a month . it made my depression much more worse . and it made very suicidal as well . felt like my head had been kicked in while i was on it . it also suppressed my apetite , gave me extreme fatigue , migraines and severe insomnia as well . stopped it nearly four weeks ago and i am still suffering . the withdrawal symptoms are pure hell . do yourself a favour , chuck them in the bin [xx(]

[:0]I also had absolutely NOOOO desire for sex and that is one of the reasons I weened myself off of Lexapro. I also had severe sweats, aching in my legs, weight gain and dry eyes.
I weened myself off slowly using Benadryl and .5 mg of Ativan when needed. This greatly helped the withdrawal side effects.
I waited several months and then went on Cymbalta because my anxiety and panic attacks returned. I must say that I feel Cymbalta is working miracles. I have more focus and energy and my anxiety is very low. My sexual desire has returned, I have lost weight and the only side effect is I still have sweats.
So, ditch the Lexapro slowly. It to me was worse than Zoloft and Wellbutrin. That's just my opinion.
Good luck to all getting off Lexapro.
