Hi,
I have been on lexapro 10 mg for about a year now and for about the last 5 months I have noticed a big decrease in sex drive. I have trouble achieving a full erection as well.

I take lexapro for anxiety and it works but this is not a good trade-off. Has anybody had this problem and has anyone found a substitute that has been succesful?

I'm female so of course I never had a problem with an erection, but when I took SSRIs I had little to no sex drive whatsoever and could not reach orgasm. My doctor eventually discontinued treatment with the SSRIs and changed to anxiety meds which is what I needed in the first place. Before that however, I took paxil, zoloft, lexapro, wellbutrin and at least one more and I don't really remember the name of it but none of them helped my anxiety and they all gave me sexual side effects which are very troubling

talk to your doctor about any side effects you have with these medications. they can be very dangerous if side effects are dismissed without investigation. good luck
