Default Leg Cramps

Wife is taking 3600 mg Neurontin, along with 400 Mg of Zonegram, Requip .25, and Trazodone 100 mg. for problems connected to restless leg synd, and peripheral neuropathy ( non diabetic). Has started having severe leg cramps in upper leg muscles.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Since I started taking neurontin, I have severe leg cramps. It seems to happen mainly when I increase my dosage. Last night was terrrible after I took my 3rd 300 mg tablet for the day. I was on 200's. But I believe the neurontin has been helping me as I feel all around better but the feet pain has not lessened. I have pinched nerves and trauma resultingin PN. Am 71 and the PN began in 1990 or so. I got my feet nerves damaged in the Army back in 1954,

Hal

Well this may be aliittle diffrerent, but I have taken requip and all that stuff for restless leg(while in opiate w/d,and after) the best thing for me have been Zanaflex which is a muscle relaxer...See if the Dr. will give that a try instead..Good luck!

I take 4mg as often as I need it..Its cheap, and works wonders in my case..
