Default LAMICTAL & SJS

On November 29,2004 my 16yr old son was diagnosed with STEVENS JOHNSONS SYNDROME. He spent a total of 32 days in a Burn Center, FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE. He was taking LAMICTAL, and had only been on it for 4 weeks. SJS is a life-threatening syndrome, which is commonly miss diagnosed. My son now has photophobia(severe sensitivity to light), has many scars; and has trouble with his muscles. LUCKILY MY SONS PEDIATRICIAN KNEW WHAT WAS WRONG AND MY SON GOT PROPER TREATMENT. SO FOR ANYONE OUT THERE WHO MAY DEVELOPE A RASH WHILE TAKING ANY NEW MEDICATION PLEASE SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
