My doctor is taking me off the duragesic patch and putting me on kadian. Does anyone know anything about this drug and if you can take other mild opiates with it? Any help would be appreciated.

Kadian is an extended release formula of morphine, made by Faulding Labs. It is availiable in 20, 30, and 60 mg doses. Other narcotics can be used in conjunction w/ morphine to control break through pain, but should be used w/ caution, as kadian is a long acting, moderate to high oral dose of morphine. more info is availiable here on drugs.com search morphine.
