Unhappy I'm scared-suboxone question

Hey guys. My sister takes suboxone for her vicodin addiction, she's been taking it for I think a year now, sometimes she can go for weeks without taking it, it's working that well for her. I suffer from chronic pain and have been taking vicodin off and on for the last 2 years, but lately it's been pretty much every day, 5mg/500, usually 2 at a time, up to 6 to 8 a day. I'm realizing now that I need more and more to get the same pain relief I would get with just taking one or two a day. My sister let me try her suboxone. I know that's bad, should not share medications, but I was out of vicodin and in a lot of pain(thankfully I have an appt with a new pain dr. Monday). Anyway, I did have some vicodin this past week, and I took 4 today, 2 in the am and then 2 more later that afternoon. Then tonight I took the suboxone, it was about 8 hours afte rmy last vicodin. At first I started feeling much better, then about an hour later, I got real nauseous and only felt better while lying down, no vomiting thank God. I'm also having trouble sleeping, even though I took an ambien. Should I not take the suboxone so soon after taking the last vicodin? In some ways it really is helping with my pain and making me feel so much better, I don't even want anymore vicodin right now! But on the other hand, I have a headache, and I'm still a little nauseous and very tired. Is this all because I took one suboxone on the same day as taking vicodin? And will this one pill not allow the vicodin I may take later to not work anymore? I'm so confused. Thanks for any input.

jenidarlin, Sub will put you in w/d if you take it too soon after vicodin! It is used primarily as kind of helper drug to get people off of opiates, takesaway cravings, blocks any other opiate taken due to naloxone in med. The sub depending on the dose you took i.e. mg, usually stays in system 8-15 hrs, so wait long enough before you take next vicodin or same thing will happen to you again! Try www.suboxone.com for more info, help you understand sub better! Not to difficult to understand Detox Guy

doctors say to wait for 24 hours to take suboxone after your last use, or wait until you are in considerable withdrawal stages--- otherwise withdrawal symptoms get worse if taken too soon

also make sure you put it under your tongue and let it completely dissolve.... do not chew or swallow it, and avoid even talking while it is dissolving, suboxone is only very effective if a lot is in your bloodstream, and the big purple vein under your tongue is the best way to achieve this

also, if you take any opiates while on suboxone, it will do nothing and is a 100% waste of time and money
