I had some green pills, they were oval, but they said 542 on them. They were mexican or canadian (I don't know) roofies. Yeah roofies, that date-rape stuff.

mmmmm, rhohypnol...

very well could be... but no way to be sure... short of testing for benzodiazepine. I would say they are definitely foreign, I think that much everyone here would agree on. I don't know of any legit pills without an imprint made in the US... but I could be wrong, my knowledge is pretty limited to pills of abuse.

Before you go accusing him of popping opiates, or roofying people, stop to consider something. Yes, they are from another country if they have no imprint, but they could just as easily be viagra or something of that sort. That is something he may not have wanted to tell you but more show you. just saying, dont' accuse him.... but if he was addicted to painkillers two years ago, good chance he still is.

I know that there are red oval pills with no imprint that are Excedrin headache pills, maybe it is something like that? Something you buy over the counter?

One day at a time....

This being such a major concern, you might think of taking the pills somewhere to be analyzed. Do you have a family doctor? Perhaps the one might be of some help in finding out what they are. If your husband has been in detox, is there a psychiatrist or other doctor you have seen together in dealing with the addiction? Maybe that person could help. A lab might be expensive, but might be worth it to know one way or another since you are facing an addict.

A veteran pharmacist will probably be of more help than a doctor. He should at least be able to eliminate them as domestic, script or OTC. Good luck!
