Default hydrocodone expiration

is hydrocodone alright to take if its a year old?

meds I get from my pharmacy always have one year on them on the label.
blister pack meds often have 3 years from manufacture date printed on them.
If anything the effectiveness is what would reduce over time. If you're sure it's roughly a year old it should be fine to take.

I'm not a pharmacist by the way.
