I understand this message board is more for id of unknown meds, howerever I have not found one that is informative of this med. If anyone has had good or bad info on this med (which has been prescibed to me) it would be appreciated of your outcomes....
Thanks for any info that anyone can inform me of... I am on 25mg of this tab which I have been told to start with half tabs... I have gotten the info from the doc, just wondering about any results anyone has gotten from them. Thanks again - Jflo

HCTZ for short. It is a water pill(duiretic) and it works from the kidneys. It removes water and salt. I took this pill 25 mgs for over 5 yrs. You will need to have blood work done bcuz it depletes potassium from the body.

I had no side effects from this med but others have said they get a headache, dry skin and other things.
