Default how well does vicodin 5/500 work after surgery

I had cervical fusion sugery last Tues and in the hospital they gave me percocet and valium for the pain with occasional shots of demerol. He sent me home with one week scripts of the percocet (2 every 4 hours) and valium (2 every 4 hours). yesterday the script my mom picked up was for vicodin 5/500 take 1 every 4-6 hours and flexeril 1 3x day. i take the vicodin but it doesn.t even touch the pain with one. i am seeing the dr tomorrow any suggestions how i should go about telling him this? Also he said that this would be my last script for pain. I just had the surgery 1 week ago. Is this right?

Jenn

He's got you on a low dose so just tell him the truth that the vicodin aren't taking care of the pain and can you take 2 instead of 1.Good luck.....Dave

How was your doctor visit? Sounds like he is scared you will get addicted but that seems to be so little time although I am not sure what type surgery you had. Sounds painful.
