How do I stop Methadone?

If someone is taking 5 MG of Methadose 2 times a day for 4 years.

Does anyone know how to wean off this stuff with as little a discomfort as possible?

I was on 30 mg of methadone and decided that I no longer wished to take it. I have gotten into a Suboxone treatment program and it working great. I feel a hundred times better now!!

How long does it take to get out of your system?

It took the methadone almost 4 full days for me, some people are a lot quicker. Its probably going to take a week before you can feel better if you dont start on a Suboxone program.
