I have been on hormone replacement therapy for about 7 years. I had a hysterectomy and had to be put on them. I have recently had blood test that told me that I am post menopausal. Does anyone know what would happen if I stopped taking the hrt's?

you would experience the symptoms of menopause (hot flashes). depending on your age you should discuss this decision with your OB/GYN or primary doc

I would check with your doc about your need for the hormones. I had a hysterectomy in '85, tried estrogen in soy form, didn't seem to help. But I have friends who have also had hrts and dropped them with no problems. The only symptoms I have is some excess face fur which I shave every couple of weeks. I am turning 60 in April
