Default Help about Paxil CR

I have been on Paxil Cr for about 2 years. I have also been on Effexor and Celexa. I have noticed that my history with my previous pills have not been that great. I also noticed that with paxil its starting not to work anymore. I am 16 years old, and i have heard from some people it is not safe to use this drug because my brain is not fully devloped, and some reaction happens that is not supposed to. I was wondering if anyone knows about this reaction? And also if this drug is so bad for youth my age then why has my family doctor kept me on it. I am farmiliar with all its withdrawl symtoms for i have experienced them more then once. Please reply!!!

You know taking paxil will not effect your brain rather then help it and eventually a few years down the road the pills stop working because your body has become use to it. I am so sorry about your history on the anti depressandts but am sure you have nothing to worry about paxil hurting your brain cause it is still developing

many doctors are choosing to switch their patients to lexapro now... they can often use lower doses with fewer side effects. If paxil isn't working for you anymore, maybe ask your doc about this.
