The best person to ask would be your prescriber, however, with tri-cyclic antidepressants (imipramine) you can get some pretty strange feelings when first starting them. I took that one about 10-12 years ago for a brief time. I felt pretty stoned the first couple weeks on it. I was told then that it takes time for the body to adjust to the medication and eventually those effects went away. However, every dose adjustment caused a recurrence of the dizziness, spaced-out feelings, and mind fog. I ended up switching over to serzone, at least til they figured out that one kills your liver. Don't you love the anti-depressant ****-shoot? It either doesn't work, the side effects make you non-functional, or they find out after you have been on it a while that it is slowly destroying some vital organ! Sheesh. Sorry I can't give you any information on trazadone. But if the effects are bothering you, I would suggest speaking with your doctor, maybe he can give you something different or at least monitor the symptoms to make sure of what is going on.
