I am 30 years old and have been having the warning signs of a heart problem (or at least that is what I thought). Chest pain, arms, neck and back aches, fatigue and shortness of breath. I had a chest x-ray done, an ECG and a pulse oximeter done and all came back normal. My doctor prescribed me Verapamil. I started taking it and I still felt the same so I called and was told to take two at a time. This has helped but my left arm and neck have been aching since I started taking two pills (just started taking two this morning). I am still experiencing some shortness of breath. What should I do?

I take verapamil 240 mgs. verapamil does have side effects such as what you mentioned. My arm pain went away after a week. Also you didnt say what dosage you're taking, but verapamil dosage shouldn't go over 360 mgs. You should call your dr and tell him about the side effects.
