I have what is called short gut syndrome because of several intestinal surgeries, if I take meds by mouth they pass through my system too fast, and they just don't work. If I have to have antibiotics I usually have to have them by IV. I also have a genetic bleeding disorder so I cannot take any NSAIDS

. It really makes having cronic pain pretty horrible.
So I have to take pain meds in a different form, right now I am on
Fentanyl patches (50mcg every 48 hours) and for break thru I have been given Oxyfast (also called Oxydose). It is a liquid, that comes in a tiny bottle and you take it with a dropper. I have looked all over this site (and others) and I cannot seem to find anyone else who takes this.
For me it has been a lifesaver. Just wondering why it is not talked about or prescribed more?
Thanks, Mom24boys
