Glipizide is not associated with renal damage. It is metabolized by the liver. The closest effect it has is SIADH (Syndrome of Inappropriate Anti-Diuretic Hormone). That is when you have too much fluid in your body, which results in the appearance and affect of low sodium concentrations.
