Default gleevec and digoxin

I have read in precautions that you should not take digoxin while taking a chemotheraopy drug. My mentally handicapped niece has been
taking digoxen for 10 years for congestive heart failure. She also came down with chronic myloid leulemia allmost 3 years ago. Dhe was then put on gleevec. The physician has a list of her medications, so what I am facing here? She can not live without either of the medications. What are the results of taking both of the medications?
