Question Generic Zoloft (sertraline hcl 100mg, imprint: rx166)

I recently got a refill of my zoloft prescription from the pharmacy and got a pill I have never seen before. It is white, oblong, and has rx166 printed on it. I found somewhere on the web that it is Sertraline HCL 100mg made by Ranbaxy Labs NDC# 63304-166. Since taking the new generic (200mg) I have had an impossible time falling asleep and have felt "wired" during the day. I found a forum where people were discussing an emergence of different side effects as a result of this particular pill (rx166 by Ranbaxy), but I cannot find the forum anymore and there only seemed to be posts with complaints, but no real answers.

Has anyone else been given the same new generic and felt a difference??

Please help!

I do not know where the forum is you are looking for. But I have the same suspicion as you do. I just picked-up the refill and saw the "new" version. I will check with my doctor for more answers. As I just started taking the "new" one and have not felt a difference yet.
Cheers!
