Generic vs brand name medication? My medication for ADD is Adderall and the Dr forgot to check the box that says do not duplicate. When I went to pick up my script the pharmacy had given me the generic form which is Amphetam salt. Im just wondering if anyone has every used this drug and if i was the same as Adderall. I had been give the generic form of Ritilan once and it was not even close to being the same. Id be greatful for any thoughts... -
Really the only thing to do is try it and see. I have had some generics that worked great and then some that seemed they just didn't mix them right or they were missing something.
For instance, when I had name brand Darvocet, it was always fine, then I moved and had to switch pharmacies, then they gave me the generic and it was awful. There were time I could take several and it didn't do anything and other times I would take one and could have swore that I had swallowed the whole bottle.
I know generics are supposed to be bioequivelent but sometimes they just aren't. verwon@gmail.com
My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~
