I COMPLETELY aggree with you that they are DEFINITELY NOT as good as the brand name, not even comparable in my opinion! And I have noticed that they are not consistant...what do you think? I am waiting to try the generics from Endo pharmaceuticals that have just been released, I have only tried the generic 80mg from Teva Pharm. But, bottom line, the generics SUCK! I hope that the people that control this realize that these are not as good and take them off the shelves or "re-design" them!!

teva only makes 80's.i did'nt know endo has already hit the shelf they are supposed to market 40's and 80's.i have read the problem with teva is they use methacrylate copolymer to make the pill gel when its crushed and water is added it retaines a good amount of oxycodone that is not released when taken as directed therefor limits its strength when taken as directed.if anybody has any input on the generic 80's please post.

If Endo Labs is going to market their own version that is great news. I've never had a bad product from Endo for pain control, those folks know what they are doing. I always try to get the Endo versions of Oxycodone & Percocet when I can. Sometimes I get stuck with the Watson version, or the Mallinckrodt versions and they just don't work as well for me. (Though the Mallinckrodt version is better than the Watson).

Always had good luck with anything made by Roxane as well.

I've heard a ton of complains about the generic OC-80. Even people going through withdrawal on it. I'm not sure if it's an actual difference in the drug or it's time release mechanism, or someone replacing them with dummies in the distribution chain. I wouldn't write that 2nd off as a possibility as I read about a recent bust where the DEA found nearly a hundred thousand fake generic OC-80 pills. If crooks were going to do it to say 5% of the pills in a bottle, it might lead to some very nasty experiences for end users and might not be found out immediatley.

Are you numb yet? No. AARRGGGGGHH! I told you I wasn't numb! Sorry, I didn't believe you.

I have been takeing the oxycontin since long before there was a generic. Most insurance will NOT pay for the brand if there is a generic available.I have been taking the generic for two yrs. and I find it to work just as well,But, there are several diffrent generics out there. The yellow generic works just as well but the lavender I found did not...This is my opinion.I had great insurance but they would only pay for the generic once it became available.Hope this helps.......
