Default Friend has Oxydone addiction - anything I can do?

Hi, I recently discovered that my younger brother's best friend, also a good friend of the family, has an Oxydone (sp?) addiction. My brother is not very good at handling situations like this, and didn't understand that some of his friends actions (pawning a very expensive and sentimental gift my brother gave him) are related back to this addiction so naturally he's been very upset with his friend. One of my closest friends went through an Oxycotin (sp?) addiction and recovery, so I know how bad it can get and want to help my brother's friend before it escalates. He's taking approximately 30mg (I don't know if that's the right measurement) right now, so I know it's still relatively early. Is there anything I can do? Any advice on what I can tell my brother to help him deal with his friend's behavior would be really useful as well. As someone who hasn't had experience with drugs, I am having a difficult time giving him the appropriate sisterly advice I can usually provide.
