Default Fosamax and dental problems

Has anyone heard of Fosamax causing dental problems? I'm 51 years old with osteoporosis caused by steroid use during cancer treatment. I was put on Fosamax to battle the bone density loss. Since I've been on it I have had two molars break beyond repair and another tooth chip on a plain chocolate bar. My dr. says there is no evidence that the Fosamax could be pulling the calcium from my teeth (to move to my bones?), but until I went on this prescription I had healthy teeth. Has anyone else heard of the possibility of Fosamax and problems with teeth?

I have been on Fosamax for over five years and have had no problems with my teeth. I have had several fractures because of the Osteoporosis - I am on the weekly dose of Fosamax. I haven't even had a filling since I have been on Fosamax. I have done a bit of research on the drug because I was considering entering a clinical trial at the Osteoporosis Research Center in my hometown. They have given me a great deal of information on Fosamax - all of which I already knew -- I have never found any mention of dental (teeth) problems connected to this drug in any of the literature I have read. Good luck! mb
