flexeril

In November I was diagnosis with Spondylolisthrisis and Bilateral Foraminal Stenodid in L5-S1, I also have herniated disc in L4-L5, L2-L3 and L1-L2.
I have been taking Flexeril for muscle relaxer, lortab, for pain and Bextra for inflamation.I have been on these meds for three months now and the past two weeks I have been having some problems.
I don't get more then 3-4 hours sleep a night, and I have been having problems with blurry vision, dry mouth, and dizziness.
I went to see the Dr. today and explain all of this to her, asking if it could be any of the meds I am taking. She said no and had me tested for Diabetes.
Would Diabetes just show up like that? All the symptoms she said related to Diabetes are the same side effects as are for the Lortab,
and the Flexeril. I don't know what to do any more. I am having a lot a pain and I'm looking at having to have surgery very soon.
I am very depressed with this whole situation. Anyone have any ideas. Should I consult another doctor? Or continue to take these like my doctor said to do until the results come back?

Hi Mary --

Not that I am any expert in this area, but I would wait and see what she has to say. It shouldn't take very long for her to get the lab results back and make a diagnosis of diabetes if you have it. If it comes back negative, then I would ask her to maybe put you on a different pain med. It also wouldn't hurt to see a different doctor if she can't figure it out. I don't see why not, I would if I had to.
