Default Expiration date
I have a bottle of hydrocodone/APA 5/500 that is about 8 yrs old from an old sx. Is it still good or do expiration dates really matter?[?]

8 years is way too long. Throw it away.

But why is the med bad? As I have asked this question before, with a pain reliever, what happens to the chem. make up if it is 8 yrs old?
Does it loose it's strength or do the chems get toxic?
