Default Exatly how strong is Endocet?

I have been on Endocet for about two months now -2 three times a day.For the last three weeks they have not been helping with my back pain at all.Just like taking candy! My doctor tried me on Duragesic Patch 25 but couldn't handle the side effects. I couldn't stay awake,I was in bed constantly. Can anyone tell me another kind of medication that might work for me? I have two protruding disc in lumbar area and nerve impingement and facet osteoarthritis. I would be greatful for any input.

Thanks so much,
Brown Eyes

I tried many different pain meds, including the Duragesic patches (hated those just like you did!)and the only thing I found that worked well is Neurontin. They can safely take the dosage of it up to several thousand mgs, without adverse reactions, too.

Here's some information on Endocet for you:

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~

Wow you doctor went from a weak pain killer to a very powerfull one.If you have chronic pain then you need to be on a sustained release opiate such as MS Contin (morphine).....Dave

Finally my pain is under control!!!!!!!

Dave,I do agree with you about the morphine.I had been doig some research on internet about chronic pain and that did seem to be a good medication for that.I approached my doctor about this and his reply was that he doesn't prescibe that kind of medication. So he has me pretty confused about which one was stronger medication. Thanks alot for your feedback.Brown Eyes
