hi there can someone please help me here

i am just wondering as i am having to take this now, not for epilepsy though, as a mood stabilizer... me and my girlfriend are going to try for a baby, i am wondering if this will affect my sperm? and pass it onto our baby when she is pregnant? does it present risks for birth defects etc? if im the one taking it, not her?
