Default Enalipril 5mg - help appreciated

My dog is showing symtoms of heart failure so our vet prescribed Enalipril and lasix (thats Enalipril with and I not enalapril with an A) I cant find much about Enalipril and what little info I did find wasnt assuring. It was about a rabbit who was givin this med and died
a few days after being put on it. I would really appreciate ANYTHING
about this medication. My dog means so much to me and Id hate to lose
him to a drug that killed him faster than his condition.

ENALAPRIL is indicated for the treatment of mild, moderate or severe heart failure in dogs. ENALAPRIL helps the heart beat more efficiently, prevents fluid build-up in the lungs, lowers blood pressure, improves ability to tolerate exercise.

Dogs treated with ENALAPRIL show significant improvements that you can see and appreciate in 2 to 4 weeks. They cough less, eat more, and become more active. These improvements are maintained over time. Dogs receiving ENALAPRIL survive longer (92%)and have a better quality of life.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~
