Effexor Withdrawals

I was wondering if while one Effexor any of you noticed strange personality changes or very poor judgement?
My story is as follows:
I have been on Effexor XR for over a year. My Dr. put me on it to help me cope with the everyday stress and chaos of having 3 kids under 4. About 6 months ago I started to drink a lot more Alcohol than usual with little or not affect on me. I also ended up making a few HORRIBLE judgement calls. I know I can't blaim it 100 percent on the drug but since reading all of the strange withdrawl symptoms, I am wondering if it could explain why I have messed things up so badly. I am very close to losing my family over my change in personality, yet I am afraid of getting off Effexor because I had thought it was helping me cope with the craziness of having 3 little ones. Any help/advice would be great. thanks in Advance

When I'm sleeping I sweat and sweat! I have been having problems sleeping for the last week or so! Only been taking Effexor Xr for a little over 3 weeks now! And when I awake in the middle os the night, I have such cold sweats, it's beginning to make me feel really sick![xx(]. My Dr. is an awesome Dr. but has no idea what the hell the side effects are? Does anyone else sweat as I do?

I'm new and have been reading some of the comments about coming off Effexor. I'm on Effexor 225mg per day. It has'nt improved my depression a great deal and my GP wants me to go onto Avanza(Remeron). Has anyone been changed onto this drug? Quite frankly I'm worried about withdrawing from Effexor after seeing all the comments on this forum and I have also read about Avanza ,it also scares me somewhat to change to. I would be interested in anyone giving some feedback.

I too have exessive sweating and dizzy spells, I totally hate it it's horrible . It makes me feel dirty all the time

Thank you sweetooth your advise is much appreciated. I go back to my GP on 3rd January .

Not too sure , I think I might just try and stay off the medication and see what happens, if i don't cope then I will have to try the new drug. Won't know anything further till 3rd Jan when i go bavk to my GP.Have you had any experience using Avanza(remron)?
