Effexor I was recntly in an aaccident and totalled my car. The ambulance took me to the hospital and did blood/urine tests. One of my tests came back positive for PCP. I have never even seen the stuff let alone done it. I take 225 mg. of effexor daily. I talked to my counselor and she told me that Effexor will sometimes show up as PCP on a drug test. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? I would greatly appreciate any information or help I could get. The police are filing a DUI charge against me not only because of the so called PCP but because I had taken 2 Vicoden which a friend had given me and I had no presctiption for. They said if I had had the presription, there wouldn't have been a problem. The accident didn't involve anyone else. I got off onto the side of the road and the gravel pulled me, which caused my 2003 Blazer to roll several times. Any suggestions on how I can find out more information about Effexor coming up as PCP on a drug test? I'd greatly appreciate any help that anyone might have. Thank you! Denise -
I recommend not taking narcotics and effexor together unless your doctor has advised it, and not driving at any point that day/evening. Dizziness, confusion, drowsiness, blurred vision, fainting and loss of concentration are increased risks when both are taken. Since they can come up very suddenly, driving is risky even if you feel fine when you get behind the wheel.
