Default drug test information please

I recently had oral surgery and was perscribed loratab 7.5 for the pain and when I ran out of the medication I was unable to contact the dentist for a refill because it was a weekend I had some percocet 5/325 medication from a previous injury to my leg and had to use it for the pain. I have been accepted for a new job and have to take a drug test will the percocet and loratab show up as the same item on the test ? The old bottle of percocet I have is not readable anymore to show proof that it was my perscription and I do not want to loose my chance at this job.

Default Just what I would do

All I would do is tell your testing employer "IF" asked about your recent ordeal & tell them you were put on pain killers - so if they show up they are aware of it.

i work in hr and we do very very intense drug tests for our new hires. there are different levels of drug tests that test for certain drugs. the answer is yes it will show up in the test if it has been within a week. but on the pos. side you do have a valid reason your test may come up pos. since you had oral work done. normally if you take the test and something comes back with an alert then a lab tech will call you and ask you if you are on any meds and will ask what kind and normally the prescription number which you could give the denist perscription number chances are they wont push back on it if you have a real prescription. the tests are mainly testing what type of drug not the drug name and usually pain meds are in the same drug class hope this helps

The lortab and the percocet would most likely show up as the same thing, so an rx for the lortab should be good enough, but if you're still worried, you should be able to get a copy of your records from the pharmacy or even just the receipt from that rx
