Question drug test

help...I went to a new pain management doctor today for severe scoliosis and osteoarthritis and he drug tested me before I could even see him. For the past week I have taken 6 percocet 10's a friend helped me with till I could see the new doctor and now I am worried it will show. I read that it stays in your system for 4-5 days. Is that true? I also read that if not too many have been taken that it rarely even gets detected because most drug testing places are looking for morphines? I just got this info from the online encyclopedia that alot of people use. It said that percocets do not have the metabolic morphines that they look for. I thought that it was up to the doctor ordering the test as to what they look for. And to make matters worse for me, he didn't prescribe any pain killers like his partner I used to see had me on. He gave me a script for Arthrotec with no refill and Baclofen with one refill. I wonder if he is waiting on the test results? Any advice out there would be great.

He is probably waiting for your results, and will probably run the panels for everything durring the test to see if you have been taking any painkillers...I guess if you have to expalin just tell him that you had some old percs laying around and really needed them to help you with your pain...If he is in pain manegment he should knows whats best for you,and give you scripts as he feels are needed...If you feel that he is lacking at taking care of your needs then by all means find a new Dr. that will...
