Default Donnatal Extentabs. help pain????

hello. does Donnatal have any pain medication in it? i know its a benzo. but,,,,
i have been having extreme pain and vomiting. and after many months at the doctor, i went to an Upper GI specialist. I WAS taking Phenergan for nausea, and Percocet for the pain. The Percocet was working good, but i had to take alot at a time every 4 or so hours to have it help. I discussed all this with the specialist, and he took me OFF the percocet, and gave me Donnatal Extentabs. (donnatal is used to help people with irretable boul syndrome and other things ,its Phenabarbtol. so here is my question... Does Donnatal have any Pain Medication in it to help what the percocet was doing? i called my doctors and they said they didnt wanna give me more percocet yet. Someone please let me know what i should do about this. The pain is everyday and pretty servere.
thanks,
bill

first off, phenolbarbital is a barbituate, not a benzo. They are both depressents, but are considerably different in action.
Second, donnatal contains nothing that could be called an anelgesic (or pain-reliever). The combo of atropine and phenobarb acts as an anti-convulsant to relieve bowel spasms, and is not a painkiller in the typical sense.
