Default Does Prevacid (or Prevpac) deplete potassium?

Since starting Prevacid (actually Prevpac, consisting of Prevacid, Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin), I've been getting pains in my hips and muscle spasms in my legs (charliehorses) and feet. The spasms seem to be relieved by taking additional potassium supplements (I was already taking 198mg a day, but adding more seems to relieve the spasms.). I'm wondering if one of the ingredients in the Prevpac is depleting my potassium.

That is a good question. I am supposed to be taking Prevacid but have not started it yet because of all the possible side effects.

Does anyone know the answer to this question there as I would like to know also.

    Thanks,
    Martha
