I believe you're referring to hydroCODone..correct me if Im mistaken. Hydrocodone itself does not contain codeine. There is a combination of Hydrocodone + Codeine in a suspension called H-C Tussin; a yellow liquid given primarily for heavy coughing. Generally, Hydrocodone is combined with another drug to give differing forms of Vicodin like Vicodin ES 7.5/750, or Norco 10/500, etc. Simply put, No Hydrocodone does not itself contain codeine. Feel free to email me if this didn't answer your question.

Hydocone is a synthetic codeine but very addictive. I know because I was addicted to it for a few years.
Usually it comes combined with Tylenol so if your bottle says:
"HYDROCOD/APAP-10-650 tab" on it, it means you are taking 10 mg. of the synthetic codeine and 650 mgs. of Tylenol with each pill that you take.
