Doctor did a UA?

Hey all. I called in for a refill of hydrocodone today and my doctor asked me to come in to do a piss test before he would authorize it. Why is that?

Generally, the UA is the doctor's way of monitoring if you are taking this medication as prescribed - and/or taking any other drugs that s/he needs to know about.

I was thinking he was makin sure I was taking it and not selling it.
