Diovan side effects

I have been taking 160mg of Diovan daily for several years. For the last several months my eyes have been red and irrated. My eye doctor says I do not have dry eye syndrome and my eyes are healthy. I take no other medication except vitamins. Could Diovan be causing my problem since it prevents restriction of blood vessels?
