hydromorphone (diluadid) will generally stay in your system for 3-4 days after a single use. How long after the surgery was the drug test administered? It is also important to note that some other narcotics can trigger a test for hydromorph, most notably hydrocodone (vicodin), though oxycodone is not to my knowlege.

it should be out of your system after 3 days, but, what some people also fail to note, that is if u have been on narcotics or opiods for a while, your liver can be retaining drugs in your system and you should get your liver checked out. i have had some friends that had stuff showing on drug tests alot longer than they had used them, only because came to find out there liver wasn't metabolizing correctly.

Depends how soon the test was done after you were administered the dilaudid. If you have had long term alcohol use you could have damaged your liver, you would need LFT (liver function tests) to find out measuring AST/ALT levels or whatever else they want to look at and since this drug is metabolized in the liver through glucuronidation then it would cause the drug to be in your system longer. The largest percentage excreted in the urine is the metabolite hydromorphone-3-glucuronide (from the glucuronidation reaction in the liver), but if you have renal (kidney) problems then that could also increase your plasma levels longer than normal. Assuming everything is normal, the drug should be out of your system after about 4 days. Good luck.
