The methypred is a steroid and they cause all kinds of side effects, including depression and mood swings. It may be possible that the methylpred is causing many of the problems you are having. If they are very sever and are causing you alot of trouble or you are having any sort of thoughts about self harm, suicide or anything along those lines, contact your doctor as soon as you can. If you really feel suicidal or like you might hurt yourself, get with a loved one until you get talk to a doctor or have a loved one or friend take you to the ER if you feel you need help. If you symptoms arent that severe and are tolerable than continue to take it because steroids can do wonders for some types of pain (so there is some hope for you), especially if the pain has to do with inflammation. You can ask your pharmacist about the symptoms if you want while you are still taking the meds and see what he recommends you do. Otherwise make sure you tell your doctor about how you felt and see what he says.
I hope that you start feeling better and your mood lifts. Remember, if you feel like you might do something to hurt yourself get with a loved or friend until you can talk to a doctor (whether the ER if its that urgent, the one who prescribed the meds, or a psychiatrist). Just remember that life goes on and that your pain will be treated effectively and you will find relief, you just have to keep pushing on through it.
Good luck and I hope everyone has a pain-free day,
