Hello everyone,
I would like someone to advise on this important matter please. I have a severe, painful illness which requires me to self inject demerol only when the pain gets to a point where I can't function at all. Since I try to avoid it as much as possible there are still times when I need to take it. My question is......I have had the demerol for so long that last time I needed it I noticed that the expiration date was June 2008. It is sealed tightly in an appropriate vile (bottle), and I inject 25-50 mg for a dose. Does anyone know if it is still ok to take since it has expired a year ago? When I last took it 3 days ago it didn't feel any different than the time before, (6-months ago), and still stopped the pain. But I need to know if it is still safe to use?
