Default decreased dilantin levels

Hello, Can you help me... I have been taking dilantin for aproximately 25 years... in the last year or so the level has been steadily going down, I have had numerous level checks and it has been going down consistently.

Can you tell me why this is happening? thankyou Emma Gilmore

Start simple: weight gain? alcohol intake can cause decrease. As can OTC meds.

My book says dexamethasone, metyrapone test serum, PBI, urinary steroids can cause decreased lab results.

That's the simple stuff. Good luck.

I have gained a little weight, but not that much and was already on the chubby side. I do not drink or do social "drugs" Are there any other reasons the level of dilantin level would drop ?
