Hello to all out there. I received a shot of Steroid of Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection of 2 mg into my foot to treat Plantar Fasciitis. I received only 1 shot on the 3rd of August and several days later had a delayed reaction from this drug. The first week after the shot I was very weak, nausea, having panic attacks, body felt weird / cold (like blood is draining from your body), Hyper, insommia, upset stomach, heart pounding like crazy, Bowel Movments. I called my foot doctor and he said that I shouldn't get any reaction from this shot but when I went to my primary doctor and she said that it was definitely from the Steroid Reaction that I had and just basically have to ride it out of my body. I have notice in the last week I am starting to get some better in many areas. I don't have the panic attacks, my muscles are getting stronger now, the weird / cold feeling is now gone but I still feel a bit nervous as I was told that steroids affects your nervous system and was told to take Vitamin B6 or Vitamin B complex where you have all B's for your body. My primary doctor told me that the amount of 2 mg of Decadron Dexamethasone Phosphate injection I was given equals to about approx. 40 predinsone pills being popped into the body all at once. I was wondering if anyone out there ever had this shot and had similar reactions as I did. I would appreciate any answers I can so I know I am not alone in this.
