Default Cyproheptadine (generic for Periactin)

My son has Celiac disease and is extremely sensitive to all glutens. We need to find out if Cyproheptadine (prescribed by our pediatric GI) is gluten-free. The manufacturer is Pliva, but there is no way to contact them. Does anyone have any idea how I can find out if this drug is guaranteed gluten-free? I won't give it to him (prescribed to stimulate his appetite) until I know for sure it is. He's been gluten-free for 20 months now and his IGa antibody still registers fairly high. We have to be so careful.... Thanks for any advice.
