 Cyproheptadine (generic for Periactin)
My son has Celiac disease and is extremely sensitive to all glutens. We need to find out if Cyproheptadine (prescribed by our pediatric GI) is gluten-free. The manufacturer is Pliva, but there is no way to contact them. Does anyone have any idea how I can find out if this drug is guaranteed gluten-free? I won't give it to him (prescribed to stimulate his appetite) until I know for sure it is. He's been gluten-free for 20 months now and his IGa antibody still registers fairly high. We have to be so careful.... Thanks for any advice. |
