Hi,
A Cypher stent was implanted in my mom's LAD, about 5 weeks ago. Since then she has been suffering from difficulty in breathing, weekness,exhaustion and practically cannot function at all. Her doctor said that this may be side effects of either the cypher or the plavix. She was taken off the plavix and was given Aspirin, thus symptom reoccur after one week. Before she was given Aspirin, a diagnostic procedrue was performed in order to ensure that there is no additional blockage in her arteries.
I would appreciate any advise on how to deal with this situation, as her doctors are helpless.

Hi,

I am interested in you comment about your Mother's side effects and that she was
taken off of Plavix...My freind has side effects also...but was told my his Doctor
that he must take the Plavix and asprin for 1 year to keep the stent for clogging up.
Question: Was you Mother put on some other medication ?? to replace the Plavix?
Also: Did she have cold and painful ...hands, arms and feet..also.?? Thanks
