contrast side effects (help)

Does any one know what to do to make the side effects of contrast medicine go away. My friend's daughter had been given it in Feb. and in March she started seeing, hearing, feeling, things that werent there. She went to the doctor and they only referred her to an eye doctor. She has still been experiencing these symtoms since then. What can she do?
