Default Concerta increases hyperactivity

I have a 6 year old son who takes
conceta for hyperactivity. His doctor prescribed because of hyperactivity. However it seems to be increasing his hyperactivity. So far he has only been on it for two days. I want to give it enough time to see if it will reduce his hyperactivity. But I am running out of patience. I can't get anything done around the house because he follows me around wanting to help ON HIS OWN TERMS! He talks constantly and asks questions just to hear himself talk. I can't have a minute to think.

Please let me know if you have had a similar experience and if you found a solution to this problem.

Thank you,
