Default Combivent & Sugar

My mother takes Combivent inhaler and is a boarder line diabetic. She has been testing her sugar levels and asked if the inhaler might change the reading?

I'm sorry I really don't have any information from a medical source, but there's all kind of searches on the internet you could do to alleviate your fears. I have read that albuterol sulfate should be used with caution in patients with convulsive disorders, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes mellitus ...So I doubt your Mom's Doctor would prescribe or overlook what he prescribes his diabetes patients. Don't worry about it. As far as a number change in her sugar levels, I don't know. Wish I could help out. You might want to call your Pharmacist and ask him, he'll know in a heartbeat. Take care and God Bless.
