Default Clomid side effects

My husband & I are trying to conceive....I was prescribed Clomid....took it for 5 days..... On the day after my last dose, I was getting an intense internal itching, tingling & prickly sensation in both feet...It's my 3rd day that it's happening..driving me crazy..& I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else? I have searched the web for any connection between the two, but to no avail.

Hi Mona

Don't know of you have seen the PDR info at Drugs.com - very detailed information on adverse reactions to Clomid...

If the symptoms persist, it is probably worth contacting your doctor to establish the cause.

I had read as much as I could, including the link that you sent. However, after you sent that link, I read it again....thoroughly...& long story short, I looked up some terms that I was unfamiliar with, including Paresthesia, which described my symptoms relatively well. It was under Adverse Reactions, said to be spontaneously reported, & cause & effect unknown. I was relieved to see that. On the day of my original post, I had gone to see my doctor (GP)....told him I had been on Clomid, trying to conceive, etc. He had no idea what it was that I was experiencing, never heard of it before, & prescribed Neurontin to me, for "nerve pain," although I told him it wasn't really pain that I was experiencing. I went home & researched that drug on the web, to find that it said NOT to take it if trying to get pregnant! Can you believe that!? I also then called my obgyn., who also said he was unaware of these side effects, but told me NOT to take Neurontin. Today is day 5 of my symptoms, although they have subsided. I have also been experiencing major muscular pain & stiffness in my neck, shoulders, back, stiff & sore joints, hands & fingers stiff & sore. Pretty intense. I was however, really disappointed that my dr. & my ob/gyn had not heard of these symptoms...& that I had to discover that info on my own (with your help ) I have yet to find out if I will indeed ovulate, & am thinking of next month & the month after, if I have to continue with Clomid. Not looking forward to experiencing those side effects again, especially when there's nothing I can do to alleviate those symptoms.
