Default childs death?

5 year old child gets stomach virus ends up with UTI, very weak and flaccid. she received oxycodone and tylenol with codeine along with antibiotics. 72 hours after last dose of oxycodone, child passes away. with level of .02mcg/ml on toxicology urine test. could someone explain to me the affect of codeine and oxycodone together. why is the oxycodone at the level it is?

The two together is not uncommon as codeine is not a very strong opiate and that's probably why they the child the oxycodone..02 mcg\ml is a very small amount.1 microgram(mcg) per milli litre(ml) = 1000th of a gram per every one-hundreth of a litre of urine.Does that help you at all.I'm very sorry the child pass away.....Dave

why does the oxycodone stay in the system so long? 72 hours seems like a very long time.
